Advanced content platform

yes, Israel’s leading broadcast television provider, recently launched their new advanced content platform, featuring an unprecedented user interface and user experience. In collaboration with Android TV and Google, yes developed the complementary set-top box, and selected Nekuda’s team to design it.

A distinctive design strategy

yes needed a team that could conceive a distinctive strategy for the design of their new set-top box. They needed to differentiate themselves from the standard minimalism common to most current set-top boxes, and create a new iconic proprietary design that would reflect the brand’s strategic transformation.

The Nekuda team was asked to lead the design process and immediately embarked on a thorough research process focused on comprehending the technological constraints, benchmarking the competitive solutions and understanding the home-cinema environment and the look-and-feel of today’s cutting-edge consumer electronics.

outside the set-top box

We at Nekuda designed a creative solution that focused on the brand’s recognition. We resolved the endless debates between designers and marketers on the position and size of the logo by making the yes logo a flawlessly integrated part of the design. With meticulous attention to details, our team created an unforgettable design featuring a larger-than-life logo that broke the boundaries of the traditional set-top box.

At Nekuda, we think “outside the set-top box”: we are experts at identifying novel opportunities and at leveraging them by creating never-before-seen, inspiring designs that support our clients’ business strategy and strengthen their brand identity.
