Can you imagine a grocery store where you don’t have to stand in any lines to check out? Together with Flow, previously Walkout, we brought that dream to life with an all-in-one shopping cart. With rapid payments, real-time inventory, and an easy integration process, Flow offers customers pleasurable shopping experiences while providing businesses with a successful, scalable solution.
The Flow cart reaches an astounding 99% accuracy using multiple cameras, a touch screen, and cutting-edge AI algorithms, all with a retrofitting system that doesn’t require the replacement of existing shopping carts. With advanced computer vision, Flow technology works right on the first try, every time. Customers can toss small items or multiple items at a time into their carts without any mistakes while enjoying customized promotions and coupons. Additionally, customers can enjoy a healthy shopping journey by indexing products according to specific diets or allergies.
By eliminating the checkout process entirely, retailers can depend on Flow’s technology to cut their operational costs while providing real-time analytics. Stores can leverage the advantages of advanced machine learning to increase sales, understand consumer habits, and utilize a new form of in-store marketing through the interactive touch-screen.
By understanding and defining the user scenario from assembly, to use, to charging, Nekuda was able to design the best experience for the shopper and store. We posed tens of questions such as “Can carts be assembled or disassembled on site?” and “How does the shopper identify in the smart cart system?” in order to truly step into the customer’s shoes and understand every problem that may arise. Combining ergonomic design and efficient technology was a challenge - the user needs to view the display easily, while being able to put groceries inside the cart without strain. With this challenge in mind, we developed cameras that visually cover the cart's entire inner space and immediately recognize the products being inserted. Correct and intelligent placement of the cameras, and wiring along the cart was the top priority when it came to Flow’s technology. Today, Flow comes as a retrofit device that can be placed onto any existing shopping cart and can be found at large retail stores in Israel, Europe, and the United states.
